A View from The Bridge

Ken Stott (Messiah, The Vice, Rebus, Shallow Grave) and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (The Color of Money, The Abyss, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) star in a revival of one of the great classics of the twentieth century.

This rarely staged play by arguably American’s finest playwright, Arthur Miller, whose other landmark works include The Crucible and Death of a Salesman, is an unmissable event.

Directed by double Olivier Award winner Lindsay Posner,, A View from The Bridge tells the story of Dockworker Eddie Carbone. Eddie has made a good life for himself and his wife and niece in 1950’s Brooklyn and as an immigrant himself is happy to house and protect his wife’s Italian cousins who arrive illegally in pursuit of the ‘American Dream’. This act of kindness turns out to have a shattering effect on his whole life, and the lives of those he loves.

A View from The Bridge is currently booking from 22nd January 2009 to 16th May 2009.
