Thriller – Live

thriller-3

Well, went to see this last week – on my birthday as it happens!!  I really wasn’t sure of what to expect really, whether it was “the life of Michael Jackson” or “the music of Michael Jackson”.  I was a bit dubious about someone trying to make a story out of it to be honest.

However, I have to say, if you went to see Thriller – Live you would at least “like” the music of Michael Jackson even if you weren’t his biggest fan, and if that was the case then I have to say this was very enjoyable.

I’m not a big fan of the Jackson 5 music, so the first part didn’t appeal too much to me personally, but that’s not to say that the performance was bad!

The cast, in the vast majority, were very talented both in song and dance – fantastic dancing and some brilliant voices – Denise Pearson was outstanding – and at times could have been mistaken for sister Janet Jackson!!!

All in all, if you are a fan of Michael Jackson’s music, and you think “well I’ll never get the chance to see him in his own brilliance on stage live” then this has to be the second best thing – an extravaganza of excellent music, superb voices and outstanding dance!!

Well worth a trip to the Lyric Theatre to see this one!
