A Man of No Importance
Following its sell-out run, A Man of No Importance transfers from the Union Theatre to the Arts Theatre, London for a limited season.
This musical production is based on a 1994 film starring Albert Finney and is about a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. Alfie Byrne, a Dublin bus conductor, is prone to reciting poetry to his bus passengers. He is also the director of a local community theatre which is operating out of a small parish hall in the local church.
A Man of No Importance is set in the world of working-class Dublin in the 1960s. Through the book by Terrence McNally, the lyrics of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and the team that produced Ragtime The Musical, A Man of No Importance brings to us the feeling of being an outsider and our universal need to love and be loved in return.
We currently have reductions on tickets from £25 to £18.50 which are valid for all performances from 9th to 20th February 2010.
Additionally we have a great meal deal offer at Kitchen Italia to combine a pasta dish and glass of wine or softdrink with a ticket for A Man Of No Importance at the Arts Theatre at a total price of £23.50 for a ticket which would normally cost £20 alone plus the meal offer.
