New Local Nights Out Review System
We have now launched a new review system for venues and events listed on the Local Nights Out websites (www.localnightsout.com, localnightsout.eolts.co.uk, localnightsout.visittheatre.com).
The new system enables users to submit a review of any of the venues or events listed on the sites. As well as a written review the user can also give a rating out of five. The average rating is then displayed alongside the title of the review. If a review has already been submitted the next user wishing to submit their review will be taken to the existing review where they can then leave their comments under the original review and give their rating.
All listings on the main Local Nights Out website (www.localnightsout.com) now have a “smart button” which will read “Write Review” if no-one has submitted a review and will read “Read Reviews” if a review already exists in the system. To submit a review for anything listed on localnightsout.eolts.co.uk or localnightsout.visittheatre.com the there is a manual submission page on the new review site or a “bookmarklet” in the users profile which they can save to their favourites in their web browser. The user then simply clicks the link in their favourites whilst on the page they wish to submit a review for. This will then start the review process.
Another feature of the new review site is a friends list. This enables users to search for other users by user name and add them to their friends list. You are then able to look at a list of reviews that user has submitted or rated. You also have the ability to send friends private messages that are only visible to them in their own account. Users could use this service to arrange nights out for example or to ask friends more information on a review they have submitted in private.
The new review site is a standalone website that is available at http://share.localnightsout.com as well as through a link on the main website www.localnightsout.com
