In Northampton, the town centre is full of contemporary bars and clubs ranging from jazz and cocktail bars to live music venues and club nights. Start your evening on Kettering Road or enjoy a champagne cocktail at Corkers Wine Bar or Metros on Wellingborough Road. A short walk into the middle of town will lead you to Bridge Street, packed with bars such as Fat Cat, Balloon Bar, Mars Bar and Revolution. To dance the night away to the latest hits and 80′s favourites, head down to Chicago’s Rock Cafe on the Market Square. The town’s clubs cover all music genres from funky house and drum and bass to the freshest club mixes and hip hop sounds. Northampton Nights Out – Theatres and Cinemas

Choose either Victorian opulence or contemporary design at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate theatres. Built in 1884 in the ornate, Italianate style, the Royal is the longest surviving repertory theatre in the country, producing a host of highly acclaimed productions every year. The Derngate, a major large-scale venue, presents up to 400 productions and special events each year. Moviegoers are spoilt for choice with cinemas. You can take the best in world cinemas, old classics, Hollywood to Bollywood, and children’s matinees at Northampton’s alternative film theatre – the Forum Cinema at Lings Forum. The latest box office hits and multi-screen cinemas at Cineworld and Vue can be found in Northampton, whilst the Odeon is located in nearby Kettering.
