Leeds Restaurants
Leeds restaurants
As the capital of Yorkshire, Leeds has plenty to offer. The range of restaurants is superb, with Indian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, French, American, Italian, Malaysian and Mexican to choose from, in addition to the traditional English food served both in the City Centre and the quaint country pubs on the way to the Yorkshire Dales. China Town of course has several authentic oriental restaurants which serve delicious Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes and at very cheap prices too. Offering Chinese, Indian and Malaysian all under one roof is Georgetown Restaurant at the Dysons Clock Building.

Whatever kind of food or atmosphere you are looking for you are sure to find it in one of the numerous Leeds restaurants. Use Local Nights Out to locate the venue and variety of your dining experience to suit the occasion and your pocket. We will help you find whatever you are in the mood for.
One of the premier Leeds restaurants is Anthony’s, which was named ‘Best Restaurant of 2005’ by Observer Food Monthly. Anthony James Flinn and his son Tony Flinn founded Anthony’s in 2004. Since then, the restaurant has taken Leeds and the rest of the country by storm. Anthony’s prides itself on experimental food, but food you can actually eat. Weekend tables are often booked up two months in advance, so you will need to plan ahead if you want to eat there. The wine is obviously going to be reflective of the quality menu, but unlike the four dishes per course choice here, the wine list is a little more extensive, while centering mainly on French bins.
Vying for the title of the UK’s ‘gastro city’ Leeds is getting a reputation as a good dining city. And one of its main attractions is No 3 York Place, commonly known as Leeds’ other great restaurant, after Anthony’s. Until a couple of years ago, No 3 was Gueller’s, before the mercurial Simon Gueller moved on to the Box Tree in Ilkley, packing his name up with him. Another of Leeds restaurants is Georgetown Restaurant. Georgetown Restaurants are Britain’s first colonial Malaysian restaurants bringing the varied and exquisite cuisines of the Malaysian Malays, Mandarin Chinese and Tamil Indians under one roof. These diverse cuisines have influenced each other over the years in Malaysia and there should be something that appeals to everyone’s tastes.
